Defend The Vote Executive Director Brian Lemek released the following statement in reaction to Eric Hovde’s decision to spread misinformation and lie about the election rather than accept defeat and concede:
“Wisconsin voters have spoken and Eric Hovde has lost. His decision to spread lies that cast doubt on our free and fair elections is reprehensible and undermines our democracy. He’s repeating debunked misinformation in an attempt to overturn the will of the people.
“Voters made their voices heard. They elected Tammy Baldwin to the Senate and Donald Trump as President. Eric Hovde should end this attack on our democracy and concede.”
