WISPOLITICS: Cooke campaign: ICYMI: New Democrats Coalition Action Fund endorses Rebecca Cooke for Congress in WI-03

EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. — Last week, the New Democrats Coalition Action Fund announced an endorsement of Rebecca Cooke’s campaign for Congress. The New Democratic Coalition is the largest Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives, including nearly 100 pragmatic Democratic leaders.

“I’m thrilled to earn the endorsement of the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund. They represent a group of commonsense legislators fighting to solve problems for people – exactly what we need more of in Congress,” said Rebecca Cooke. “Restoring pragmatic leadership focused on delivering results for folks across Western Wisconsin is exactly why I am running for Congress, and why I know we will defeat radical Derrick Van Orden and his dangerous agenda in November.”

The New Democratic Coalition joins the Blue Dog Caucus as well as the Communications Workers of America District 4, American Postal Workers Union Wisconsin, Defend the Vote, Tomorrow’s Jobs, Blue Dogs, Congressman Raul Ruiz, Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Congressman Jared Golden, Congressman Mike Thompson, and other trusted leaders and organizations in enthusiastically endorsing Cooke’s campaign.

Cooke recently announced raising $490,000 in the first quarter of the year and over $1,400,000 this cycle, positioning her as the clear frontrunner to take on Rep. Derrick Van Orden. Under fire for embarrassing Wisconsin time and again, Van Orden is among the most vulnerable incumbents in the country. WI-03 is the state’s most competitive congressional district and will be a top 2024 battleground, determining control of the U.S. House nationally.
