Today, the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) endorsed Rebecca Cooke’s campaign for Congress in Wisconsin’s Third District. The endorsement follows Cooke addressing the APWU Wisconsin membership at their recent State Convention in La Crosse.
Steve Lord, Legislative Director for APWU Wisconsin, said that, “Rebecca Cooke knows the needs of our community and will be a fighter for us – and all working-class Wisconsinites – in Congress. We couldn’t be prouder to stand with her in order to bring authentic, responsive leadership back to the Third District.”

APWU joins Communications Workers of America District 4, Defend the Vote, Tomorrows Jobs, Blue Dogs, and others in enthusiastically endorsing Cooke’s campaign. Cooke recently announced raising $490,000 in the first quarter of the year and over $1,200,000 this cycle, positioning her as the clear frontrunner to take on Rep. Derrick Van Orden. Under fire for embarrassing Wisconsin time and again, Van Orden is among the most vulnerable incumbents in the country.
