If financial resources are any indication of popular support … and many pundits believe they do … then watch out for Janelle Stelson in PA-10.
The former broadcast journalist outraised opponent Rep. Scott Perry (R-10) by a three-to-one margin in the third quarter, bringing in a $2.8 million haul to $853,000 for the six-term incumbent.
Stelson, who spent $2.6 million over the last three months, has $1.374 million on hand for the stretch run, compared to Perry’s $716,000.
Nearly $2.3 million – or 92 percent – of her contributions came from individuals, while just over $200,000 came from political committees, including a $7,500 donation from Freedom Fall Blue Wave Fund and $5,000 donations from A Woman’s Place PAC, American Crystal Sugar Company, AmeriPAC, Beyond Thoughts and Prayers PAC, Black Economic Alliance PAC, Blue Hen Federal PAC, California Leadership United For Victory PAC, Carpenters Legislative Improvement Committee, Defend The Vote, Demand Justice PAC, House Majority PAC, Liuna PAC, National Association of Postal Supervisors PAC, PAC to the Future, UA Union Plumbers & Pipefitters Vote! PAC, UAW Voluntary Community Action Program, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, United Steelworkers, Vote Save America, Women’s Political Committee Federal, and Keystone Battleground.
