Democracy is nothing if every American citizen doesn’t have equal access to the ballot and Defend the Vote is a champion in this fight. While Americans are the true heroes of our Nation’s long journey to expand voting rights, I am glad to partner with Defend the Vote in that battle for our democratic inheritance. Public office is a place to serve, not to profit, which is why I am committed to cracking down on corruption, overturning Citizens United, and banning members of Congress from trading individual stocks.
