Husted took more than $600,000 from data center developers, then handed them billions to build more, while Ohioans’ electric bills soared
Following the Senate’s rejection of Sen. Jon Husted’s fake data center bill, Defend The Vote is launching a $7 million ad campaign highlighting Husted’s corrupt relationship with the data center industry.
“Jon Husted’s bill failed because it was never meant to work. It was a fake fix to cover for his corrupt relationship helping to build data centers,” DTV Executive Director Brian Lemek said. “Husted is the face of AI data centers. Ohioans know it and have had enough of his corruption.”
DTV’s ad, Face, highlights Husted’s corrupt relationship with AI data center special interests. He took more than $600,000 from data center developers and delivered them billions to help them build more, driving up electricity bills across Ohio.

The ad begins Thursday, October 1 and will run through October 12 statewide on satellite, broadcast, and cable.
