Andy Kim is a model public servant, grounded in the highest moral and ethical standards, with a record of taking on corruption and protecting democracy
Defend The Vote (DTV), one of the nation’s leading and most influential pro-democracy organizations, today is endorsing Andy Kim in the race for U.S. Senate in New Jersey.
“Andy Kim is a model public servant who is grounded in the highest moral and ethical standards. He has a proven record of taking on corruption and protecting voting rights,” DTV Executive Director Brian Lemek said. “At a time when the Senate is desperate for more civility and integrity, Defend The Vote is thrilled to endorse Andy Kim. He’ll bring the kind of change we need.”
“The future of our Democracy is on the ballot in 2024, and I’m proud to stand with Defend The Vote to protect the voice of voters,” said Kim. “So many like me are tired of broken politics that ignore or suppress the will of the people. I’m running to give every New Jerseyan a chance to be heard by fighting corruption and strengthening our election system in our state and across the country.”
In Congress, Kim is leading the charge on protecting voting rights, strengthening campaign finance and ethics reforms, and ending gerrymandering. He’s working to stop Members of Congress and Senators from being able to buy and trade individual stocks and is a leader in the fight to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. He supports funding for local election workers to run safe and accessible elections without threat of harassment or intimidation and to prevent the spread of misinformation.
Defend The Vote has emerged as one of the nation’s leading and most influential pro-democracy organizations. It is dedicated to electing pro-voting rights candidates, up and down the ballot, who will preserve our democracy by fighting to safeguard free and fair elections, protect the right to vote, and increase voter access. Last cycle, DTV helped elect 55 pro-democracy House candidates and five Senate candidates.
