Gallego will side with the people and not corporate interests or election deniers in the fight to protect our democracy
Defend The Vote (DTV), one of the nation’s leading and most influential pro-democracy organizations, today is endorsing Ruben Gallego in the U.S. Senate race in Arizona.
“Ruben Gallego is the only candidate for Senate in Arizona who will put our democracy first to ensure that everyone has their voice heard and their vote counted,” said DTV Executive Director Brian Lemek. “Arizona has been ground zero for election deniers and voter-restrictions. Ruben Gallego has proven a commitment – where others have refused – to defend our democracy from those threats.”

I’m proud to work with them to protect the freedom to vote and to stand up to the ongoing political extremism,” Gallego said. “It’s more important than ever that we fight to protect the will of the people, not ignore it on behalf of corporate donors.”
In Congress, Gallego has cosponsored and voted for the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Act. He supports funding for local election workers to run safe and accessible elections without threat of harassment or intimidation and to prevent the spread of misinformation.
His record is a stark contrast with his opponents, who are either leading MAGA extremist election deniers or candidates who turned their back on voting rights and democracy while protecting corporate interests and big donors.
