New $4.8 Million Ad Campaign Urges Mike Collins to Stop Rubber-Stamping Trump’s Iran War

Today, Defend the Vote Action Fund launched a $4.8 million television, radio, CTV, and digital advertising campaign urging Mike Collins to stop supporting the Iran War, which has led to mounting costs for Georgia families.

The ads highlight Collins’ repeated votes against the Iran War Powers Resolution, votes that have furthered the conflict, which has already cost taxpayers an estimated $100 billion while driving Georgia gas prices to nearly $4 a gallon.

Polling shows that nearly two-thirds of Americans believe the conflict was not worth fighting, including 37% of Republicans. As concerns over the war and rising living costs grow, Georgians are increasingly turning against Trump  - dissatisfaction that is even extending to his war-weary political allies. Despite the war’s costs, Collins continues to back Trump’s agenda even as it hurts Georgians back home.

“Mike Collins is always with Donald Trump, no matter how much it costs,” the narrator says in the 30-second spot. On the war in Iran, Collins said, ‘I fully support President Trump and what he is doing in Iran,’ even though the conflict has already cost taxpayers $100 billion and caused gas prices to surge across Georgia.”

The $4.8 million campaign will run on broadcast television, radio, connected TV, and digital streaming platforms in the Atlanta-metro area.
