Protecting Voting Rights and Democracy is one of the priorities listed on my website
since the beginning of my campaign to represent the 2nd Congressional District of
Illinois. As I said then, “Our democracy only survives if we defend it, and I’ll always
stand up for the Constitution.” Along with Defend the Vote advocates, I pledge to fight
for passage of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and other actions to
protect fair elections and expand voter access, as well as oppose any mechanisms
designed to restrict those rights.
