Tallying nearly $4 million in support of anti-corruption bills led by Chris Pappas
Defend The Vote Action Fund announced today that it is increasing its ad campaigns in Georgia and New Hampshire, as the group continues to advocate for solutions to take on the cost of corruption that is burdening American families.
DVT Action Fund is adding another $5.4 million, bringing the total in the two states to a combined $12.7 million.
In Georgia, DTV Action Fund is adding another $4 million to an existing $4.8 million television, radio, CTV, and digital advertising campaign urging Mike Collins to stop supporting the illegal, corrupt Iran War, which has led to mounting costs for Georgia families.
The ads highlight Collins’ repeated votes against the Iran War Powers Resolution, votes that have helped further the conflict, which has already cost taxpayers an estimated $100 billion while driving Georgia gas prices to nearly $4 a gallon.
Trump’s decision to engage in war without congressional authorization undermines the Constitution’s separation of powers and democratic accountability—principles central to DTV Action Fund’s mission.
In New Hampshire, DTV Action Fund is adding another $1.4 million to an existing $2.5 million television and digital ad campaign focused on moving forward an anti-corruption agenda and urging Chris Pappas to continue to push legislation that cracks down on corruption and congressional stock trading.
Pappas has been an outspoken critic of political office being misused for financial gain. He’s the lead House sponsor of the DISCLOSE Act to end dark money in politics and a co-sponsor of the Restore Trust in Congress Act, a congressional stock trading ban that would prevent lawmakers from using their position of power and access to sensitive information to self-enrich themselves and their family members.
Pappas has also introduced the No Cashing In Act, which would require former members of Congress to file annual financial disclosures, including any potential conflicts of interest and whether they are benefiting financially from relationships formed while serving in public office. These bills are legislative priorities for DTV Action Fund.
